His family was middleclass, he faced every face of poverty which is difficult for us to even imagine. Unlike others, he was interested in learning English language from his childhood. At that time, Chinese was the most important language and the focus of the Chinese people towards English language was negligible.

But he started learning English language at the age of 13. Instead of learning from a teacher, he started playing a role of the guide for the foreign tourists. The real name of Jack Ma is “Ma yun”. So it was very difficult for the visitors to pronounce his name. He once called “Jack” by a tourist. Jack Ma struggled a lot for finding a job, he applied for a police job. Nut due to physical abilities he was fired from that job. When Jack Ma went to the USA, he got more information about internet and got a chance to use it.

So, with the help of some of his friends he created a website which gives more info about China. Prior to this Jack was running a translation agency. But now Jack Ma want to something new with the internet.

In 1995, Jack deposited 20000 dollars with the help of some of his friends and Jack Ma’s wife, he also took a few amount from his own sister and created a new website that gave the website to the small companies of China. The website name was “China Yellow Pages”, but the business failed due to lack of profits.

Alibaba Startup:

After doing some work for the China’s government, he decided to came back to his village and invest his 18 friends. And then with the help of them he was enabled to startup “Alibaba” company that was a startup at that time.

At initial stage, he built the office of his company in his own apartment. Those days he had no other investment, but later, with help of some other companies, he increased his investment to $25 million. That was a lot for him to make a revolution. With that money and Jack Ma’s business strategy Ali baba became a big E-commerce giant.

He was a poor boy from a small village, but he had passion to do something bigger, he had the urge to something great. He did not regret upon his failures, he planned for success continuously.
