Every online way of income has some hurdles. People want to know that what are the advantages and disadvantages of freelancing. Here we are telling you a few cons of freelancing which you need to know before choosing freelancing as a career. The disadvantages of freelancing given below are those which are faced by some selected freelancers not all.

Cons of freelancing:

Not a veritable paradise:

Some of the freelancers think that freelancing has not proved their dream paradise. 10% The freelancers think they find it really hard to find a client who will pay them a good amount of their will. This problem should be because they have chosen the wrong freelance marketplace like orders on Fiverr are of low amount than the orders on UpWork. 1% of the freelancers think that freelancing is not a healthy life-work balance profession. 20% of the freelancers think that most of the projects are often awarded to women on freelance marketplaces.

Low productivity:

7% of the freelancers face the problem of low productivity in work from home. They think that the flexibility of work from home is a type of disadvantage. They say that this flexibility makes you lazy and you take your work easy. This could be their own fault, it is possible that they are born lazy and also they are not passionate about their profession. You should maintain a work-life balance. When you are working, focus on the work. When you are enjoying life, leave the work aside.

Not getting better reward:

5% of the total population of the freelancers thinks that they are not being paid well. They say that they are unable to find those clients which have their pockets full of money. I don’t think that this is a major point because the money you earn is always according to your skillset. If you have a high experience, you will also pay high, but if you think that one day you start freelancing and the other day you are earning $1000, it is impossible. I think that there is not a legal single business that can you make rich overnight.

No health security:

About 10% of the total freelancers think that freelancing is proven wrong when it comes to health insurance options. It is true to some extent because freelancing has no policy about health insurance like in the traditional job. You can make your own budget of health if you are a high-paid freelancer.

Job stability:

About 25% of the freelancers think that freelancing is not a stable career. They think that the traditional 9-5 job provides them better stability than freelancing. It is true because you don’t know when suddenly you would become unable to win projects and also if a freelance marketplace on which you are working can ban by your local Government.

Freelancing is affected by economic Ups and Downs:

50% of the freelancers think that their freelance income is affected by economic Ups and Downs. I think that it is a lame excuse because the things matter is your skillset, portfolio, communication skills, and business development skills. The client is dealing with you, he has nothing to do with the economy or political conditions of your country.

Above are some disadvantages or cons of freelancing, self-claimed by some freelancers. I have also shared my opinion with you about them.
